BOND IS BACK IN ACTION
Bond is back after four long years in a new actionpacked adventure with the plotline outlined as:
“Bond has left active service. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology”.
NO TITLE – WHY BOND 25?
Simple. They haven’t deciced on one yet, according to EON-producers Barbara Broccoli & Michael G. Wilson, owners of the Bond-franchise. Or at least that’s what they say.
PORT ANTONIO, JAMAICA LOCATION
On Sunday April 28th the production started in Jamaica with the main cast – as in James Bond himself, Daniel Craig together with Jeffrey Wright (CIA-operative Felix Leiter) and Billy Magnussen (unknown character):
Producers Barbara Broccoli & Michael G. Wilson both said during the press conference that the Jamaica filming could involve some 500-1000 locals helping out as extras, craft service, security, production staff, etc, and it would last a month long shoot on the island at various locations. That is good news for Jamaica’s film industry and local economy which stands to benefit from a film of the magnitude and popularity of James Bond being shot on the island. Motion pictures contribute to local economies through employment of locals to support filming activities, rental of production equipment, accommodation for visiting cast and film crews as well as taxation. Another reason for filming in Jamaica: It is Bond’s spiritual home and therefore it was a no-brainer to shoot this installment here.
The exact map location, seen in the gallery, is in Port Antonio, the capital of the parish of Portland on the northeastern coast of Jamaica, about 60 miles (100 km) from Kingston.
Also on set director Cary Joji Fukunaga (right side in white hat, pink shirt) with Chris Corbould, special effects supervisor & veteran of the Bond-franchise (left side in pink Piké, black/white scarf) flanking Daniel Craig. From behind we see Billy Magnussen (white shirt, beige pants):
Swedish director of photography, Linus Sandgren (First Man, Joy, American Hustle, and of course La La Land; Oscar & BAFTA winner 2017):
Craigs stunt double, Jean-Charles Rousseau:
LET THE ACTION BEGIN
BOND SAILING A YACHT
Although shot outside Port Antonio in Jamaica these pictures might just be a part of a sequence resembling Havanna / Cuba.
BONDS VILLA – JAMAICA LOCATION
Producers told media during the press conference that Bond has left service and now living in a small beautiful villa by sea in Jamaica. Here’s that villa during construction somewhere along the coastline of Port Antonio/Portland area.
Here’s one last thing. Somebody, calling him/herself Bond25member, started an Instagram account on Sunday and posted a screenshot of the index page from the potentially leaked screenplay plus unreadable mini pages pages 2-18. To the right you can see “133 pages”. The usual standard length per movie minute is one page. You do the math.
In all it looks legit. A couple of hours later the account was deleted.
